Jake Gibb

United States

Jake Spiker Gibb (yeah, that’s his real middle name) is the youngest of 11 children, a two-time cancer survivor and one of the most intimidating blockers in the world. Alongside longtime partner Sean Rosenthal, he represented the United States in the 2008 and 2012 Olympic Games, finishing 5th both times. Jake is on track to make his third Olympic team in 2016 and could be a medal contender in Rio. Since teaming up with Casey Patterson in 2013, Jake has earned two victories on the FIVB World Beach Tour. In 2013, Jake put on a blocking display at the ASICS World Series Cup final that few—especially his opponents from Latvia—will ever forget, taking home the inaugural victory in that event.
